“I support the Transhuman National Committee in its goal to influence governance in the United States of America on behalf of Transhumanists in a democratic manner, reflecting our diversity, and with secular neutrality toward traditional and emerging cultures. I also encourage other religious Transhumanists to support the Transhuman National Committee in this goal, and to do so in a manner that exemplifies an undaunting commitment to constructive engagement with our non-religious peers.” (Lincoln Cannon, co-founder of the Mormon Transhumanist Association and co-founder of the Christian Transhumanist Association)

It is, of course, wise and beneficial to peer ahead for potential dangers and problems — one of the central tasks of high-end science fiction. Alas, detecting that a danger lurks is easier than prescribing solutions that can prevent it. Take the plausibility of malignant AI, remarked-upon recently by luminaries ranging from Stephen Hawking to Elon Musk. Indeed, my own novels contain some chilling warnings about failure modes with our new, cybernetic children. Continue reading

Unanimous AI in an effort to support NPO’s like the TNC has agreed to support the TNC convention with integration with our member portal (http://members.TranshumanPolitics.com/) as the voting platform for the 02016 convention. This move shows the TNC’s willingness to focus on new and emerging technologies as the basis for running 21st century organizations. Using this kind of technology also showcases how large organizations can move past old methods todo things better and more effectively.

By the Interim Chairperson of the Transhuman National Committee of the United States
Let us face it, Transhumanism is an Ideology, an ideology about ‘transcending’ our biology, of being more than we are, of being ethically and morally bound to help those around us. I would argue it is an ideology that sets the value of Intelligence and our moral and ethical obligations to support the further development of intelligence, above even our own selfish wants. Transhumanism is an ideology of freedom, of support, of kindness; and THIS is the place to which we as the TNC of the United States, is focused on developing that ideology to encourage the use of the resources of the government of the United States in our individual constituencies for the improvement of all. The Transhuman Policy Center is working on a survey to help identify what transhumanists believe from an ideological standpoint that will help us develop our platform. Please take time to fill this out:
“The mission of the Transhumanist Policy Center (TPC) is to provide nonpartisan guidance to the public, policy makers and electoral candidates on issues that affect legislation. TPC aims to safeguard the efficacy of scientific fact, empirical research, and critical thinking of documented material and shared information within the political sphere. This survey is designed to help the TPC develop specific ‘tactical’ elements of the initial lobby activities. Please help by sharing with as many transhumanists as possible.”
